www.Musicincommercials.com is a service of Kosmo Music under administration of the two owners and managing directors Michael Rank and Klaus Eickemeyer.

The company
Kosmo Music GmbH:

Kosmo Music GmbH was founded in Munich in 1995.  The first artists signed to the affiliated label Kosmo Records were the Munich DJs Tom Novy and Tomcraft.  Two years later, in 1997, the label landed its first big hit single.  The track “Meet Her at the Loveparade” by Bochum-based DJ Da Hool climbed to number four in the German singles charts and went gold after selling 250,000 records.  This was the young and aspiring company´s first success story.  Afterwards, Kosmo simply kept on working successfully.  The releases which followed DJ Da Hool all entered the charts, which meant that Kosmo was represented in the German charts for thirteen consecutive months.  This established the small label as one of the top names in electronic music.

During the next few years, Kosmo focused on extending its international relations.  In 1999, Kosmo was voted into the top three of the “most essential labels worldwide” by Britain´s “Mixmag” magazine. That same year, Kosmo had its first top twenty single in the British charts, “Pumpin”, by Novy vs. Eniac.  The biggest international success followed in 2003 when Kosmo landed the prestigious number one slot in the English charts.  The next day, the local Munich newspaper “Abendzeitung” ran the headline: “Munich DJ Tomcraft and his song “Loneliness” knock Sting off the pinnacle of the charts…”

By the beginning of the new millenium, Kosmo Records had been established as a leading dance and electronic label worldwide and was ready to expand in the form of a brand new affiliate label, Chet Records.  Chet Records created a new platform for rock and pop artists and widened Kosmo´s artistic base at the same time.  Its first big success came in 2002 with actress Jasmin Tabatabai´s solo album, which went to top thirty in the album charts.  Further chart successes were gathered with the single “Marie” von Joachim Deutschland, as well as the songs “Love Can Change So Much” (2001), “Could It Be You” and “Rock Steady” (2004) and also the albums “Zoeciety” (2003) and “Exile African” (2005) by Zoe.  In 2007, Chet Record´s new signing Wally Warning topped the charts for weeks with the song, “No Monkey”.

In 2002, the label Konsum Records was formed, adding a third jewel in the Kosmo crown.
As the name might suggest, the focus of this label is on the production of commercial, marketing-based music, mostly in cooperation with TV stations or brand names/branded companies.  The very first release in May of 2002 managed to reach no. 6 in the singles charts and was followed by many other top ten hits.  The most successful of these was in the summer of 2004, when the pop reggae song “Break My Stride” by Bluelagoon hit number two in Germany.  The song subsequently went gold and became a big chart hit in ten other countries.

Today,  Kosmo Music GmbH with its three affiliate labels is one of the most versatile of Germany´s independent record companies not associated with a major company.  Kosmo Music now looks back on over forty chart hits and various gold records.  Their catalogue contains the rights to the works of international stars like Sonique, Tom Novy, BBE, Phil Fuldner, Tomcraft, Zoe, Jasmin Tabatabai, Wally Warning, Novaspace, Bluelagoon and many more.  Kosmo Music is highly regarded as a competent and reliable partner and possesses a label network that has grown steadily over the years, providing invaluable international contacts on all continents.  In 2007, the conventional job of a label was extended to include the further services of licensing, booking and  management, in order to be able to offer the entire spectrum of musical services to artists and customers alike.
